We’re all individual and we’re all unique, and just like diluting cordial, what’s too weak for you might be too strong for me. That’s why we offer a simple system of oil strengths and avoid a baffling long list of options. We suggest that you start slow and low, a single drop, pump or spray one or two times a day and build up to where you feel comfortable.
All of our products come in 10ml or 20ml bottles and the CBD content within is measured in mg. So, a low strength might be 200mg and a high concentration could be as high as 2500mg. In order to keep it simple, The Tonic labels CBD strength as a percentage. Essentially, the higher the percentage, the higher the concentration and strength. For example, 4% is the equivalent of 400mg of CBD in a 10ml bottle, 8% is the equivalent of 800mg of CBD in a 10ml bottle and so on. The 20ml bottles contain twice the mg of CBD so that the concentration of each drop remains the same across the 10ml and 20ml equivalent and is not diluted, eg our 20ml 8% contains 1600mg CBD per bottle, but still 12mg CBD per drop.
It’s something to consider when buying CDB oils, some suppliers provide a 20ml bottle, but the CBD content is diluted to half that of the 10ml equivalent.
Tha Food Standards Agency advise 70mg of CBD per day for a healthy adult. Anything more than this is considered a medical dose.

TAKING CBD WITH MEDICATION
We recommend taking CBD 2 hours either side of any medication you are taking, leave 4 hours either side for blood thinners, beta blockers, statins or blood pressure medications or any medications marked grapefruit contraindicated. This is to allow the liver to process them separately.
We at The Tonic encourage you to research CBD independently. We would love to provide you with all the testimonials and wonderful stories we receive and specific information on CBD regarding ailments, however we must abide by rules and regulations set by the MHRA.
